Luffa/Loofah Gourds are a vining annual that take anywhere from 90-120 days from developed plant to harvest, but can take upwards of 200 days when you measure from the first day you plant the seed to harvesting fully ripe & crispy gourds.
You can improve germination by using a nail clipper, to remove a small piece from the round end of the seed. This exposes the inside of the seed and allows water to get in. Once established make sure you have plenty of room for the vines to grow, as they love to climb far and wide. 100% worth growing!
